Accredited by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course aims to provide trainees relevant knowledge and skills on CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in conscious and unconscious infant and adult casualties.
CPR + AED Module is included in this course.

This is a combination of asynchronous e-learning and 0.5 day in-person classroom
course. The e-learning material is accessible a week prior to the in-person classroom
training. E-learning has to be completed prior to in-person classroom training.

The Basic Cardiac Life Support + AED (BCLS + AED) course is a mandatory training course for the BCLS + AED instructors-trainers. They have to attain the BCLS + AED certificate before they are eligible for the BCLS instructor-trainer.

- Physically fit with no pre-existing medical conditions such as back trouble, knee/spinal/joints injuries, heart/lung conditions etc. Please consult a doctor if you have any pre-existing medical conditions before proceeding with the course.
- Trainees who are pregnant or suspect they are pregnant are highly discouraged from taking courses with CPR. Due to safety reason, we strongly discourage trainees from attending the course. It is advisable register for the course after maternity leave has ended.
- Part of the assessment requires trainees to do 2 minutes of continuous chest compressions and ventilations and this can be physically strenuous.
- If you attend the course but opt out of the CPR+AED assessment, you will only be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.

Course Assessments
Upon successfully completing the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course, learners will be awarded with a certificate to recognise their competencies.
THEORY ASSESSMENTS
(3 attempts allowed)
This assessment is a multiple choice questions. The questions are broken down into:
Basic Cardia Life Support – 20 questions
A minimum of 70% must be correct to pass
CPR (Hands Only) + AED – 10 questions
A minimum of 80% must be correct to pass
Practical Assessment
Learners will undergo scenario-based tests. This is to ensure that they can carry out the necessary first-aid steps across multiple medical emergency scenarios.

Certification
