Who Should Attend?
- Healthcare Professionals
- Individual who are interested to become BCLS + AED Instructor
- The Basic Cardiac Life Support + AED (BCLS + AED) course is a mandatory training course for BCLS + AED instructors-trainers. They have to attain the BCLS + AED certificate before they are eligible for instructor-trainer.
Entry Requirements
- Valid BCLS provider certificate upon registration of instructor course
- Minimum of 2 training attachments with Medlink Healthcare Group
Course Objectives
- Understand key roles and responsibilities as an Adult Educator
- Demonstrate competency in the BCLS + AED syllabus
- Conduct evaluation of learners’ BCLS + AED skills and concept
- Able to perform either the BVM (healthcare professionals) and mouth to mouth resuscitation techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and general maintenance of the Brayden CPR manikin

Who is eligible?
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs) above the age of 21 are eligible for Skillsfuture Funding (SSG). The funding amount is between 50-70% of course fees (before GST), depending on age.
Trainees have to fulfill the following criterias to successfully receive the funding. Otherwise, Medlink Healthcare Group (MHG) reserves the right to claw back the funded amount from the trainee if trainee did not meet the funding criteria.
- Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
- Trainee must pass all assessments and attain 100% competency
How Does It Work?

- Click on “Register Now” on the date that you would like to register for
- Fill up the application form and checked on the box “Are you applying for grant” (the checkbox will only appear after you select NRIC for ID)
- Wait for an email from MHG informing you of the funding outcome and balance payable. You will receive this email between 1-2 working days from date of application.
- Singaporeans can use their Skillsfuture Credits to make payment for the balance payable.

Each learner will be assessed based on their competencies in 3 key components: theory and practice.

For practical assessment, learners will undergo scenario-based tests. This is to ensure that they are able to carry out the necessary first-aid steps across multiple medical emergency scenarios.
In order to pass the practical assessment, 100% score is required.

ATTENDANCE
100% course attendance is required to be eligible for assessment.
Certification
Upon completing thebasic cardiac life support + AED instructor, learners will be awarded with a certificate to recognise their competencies
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) + AED Instructor Certificate
This course is accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) and Sports SG. The certification is valid for 2 years.
